The Body of Elders
The Body of Elders of RCCG Glory Worship Centre serves as a spiritual leadership council, established in accordance with biblical principles for the governance, care, and growth of the church. Elders occupy a sacred role as outlined in Scripture, providing spiritual oversight, wisdom, and godly direction to the household of faith.
In alignment with the Bible, elders are called to shepherd God’s people with humility, integrity, and devotion. They work alongside the pastoral leadership to guard doctrine, uphold godly standards, and ensure that the church remains firmly rooted in the truth of God’s Word.
The role of elders includes spiritual oversight, prayer, teaching and encouragement, pastoral care, and guidance in matters affecting the life and direction of the church. As watchmen and stewards, they are entrusted with nurturing spiritual maturity, promoting unity, and modelling Christ‑like character in service to God and His people.
Through prayerful leadership and faithful service, the Body of Elders remains committed to strengthening the church, supporting its vision, and fostering an environment where believers can grow in faith, love, and obedience to Christ.
“The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honour.” – 1 Timothy 5:17
